We're looking for five talented and ambitious graduates with backgrounds in all things digital. We are recruiting for web developers, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) designers, and digital content specialists to join RAA's

2021 Digital Graduate Program

As a Digital Graduate, you will develop compelling, user-centred digital experiences for our members. You'll build real-world expertise in your field while gaining exposure to multiple areas of RAA through rotations in teams such as Innovation, Member Experience, Marketing and Integration. And you'll work closely together and learn from each other as you develop and apply your skills in your field of interest to deliver real outcomes:

  • Graduate web developers will work on building valuable and robust digital interfaces that empower our members and integrate into RAA's member and product systems
  • UX/UI Designer Graduates will work as part of the UX team to design a cohesive, consistent, engaging and valuable digital experience for our members
  • Digital content specialists will work with the broader digital team to bring digital experiences to life through words, images, video content... and more!

What you need:

Web Developers:

  • Currently in your final year or graduated in 2019 with tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or similar.
  • Enthusiasm for technology, learning new skills and a passion for software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in web development (personal projects are highly regarded).
  • Programming skills and knowledge of a modern programming language (we use C# but any modern language is
  • great).
  • Understanding of databases and queries, including SQL.
  • Foundational understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously to get the job done.

UX/UI Designers:

  • Currently in your final year or graduated in 2019 with tertiary qualifications in design, web development or a related field (additional studies in UX or customer experience design is desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience and a keen interest in visual design and communication.
  • Strong user research skills including card sorting, usability testing, interviews, surveys, eye tracking and heat map analysis and A/B testing.
  • Strong problem-solving, conceptual design and visualisation skills to define and communicate UX solutions using tools such as sketches, flow diagrams and customer journey maps.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and self-development.
  • Strong interest in emerging best-practice digital and UX technologies and trends.

Digital Content Specialists:

  • Currently in your final year or graduated in 2019 with tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience and aptitude in written communication, especially explaining complex ideas in interesting and engaging ways.
  • Understanding of multimedia communications, including video, image editing and emerging technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to use data, research and user experience principles to create best-practice content.
